Introduction
David Rowe, VK5DGR, in an electrical engineer living in Adelaide, South Australia. His mission is to improve the world – just a little bit. He does this through developing innovative hardware and software for telephony. So rather than making money from his technology, he gives it away. He has a PhD in signal processing, and has proven skills in low bit rate speech compression and HF modems, with a focus on combining these technologies for digital voice over HF radio applications. Projects you know him for are FreeDV, Codec2, and SM1000 Digital Voice Adapter.
