Cheryl’s Recipe Corner!
Amaretto Cake
Description
This is a tasty cake that I’ve not baked in forever, but we both love.
Ingredients (Cake)
1 box white cake mix
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 (4 serving) vanilla instant pudding
3/4 cup Amaretto
1 cup oil
1/2 cup water
Ingredients (Amaretto Glaze)
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 stick melted butter
1/2 cup Amaretto
Directions (Cake)
Mix all ingredients with electric mixer for 3 minutes. Bake in a greased bundt pan at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes.
Directions (Amaretto Glaze)
Mix sugar, melted butter and Amaretto to make a glaze. After removing cake from bundt pan, drizzle glaze over cake. If glaze isn’t thin enough, use milk to thin, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition of milk.

Russ’s Drink Corner
Redemption Straight Bourbon
Description
Rye whiskey was America’s favorite spirit prior to Prohibition, and its bold spicy flavor connected with generations of Americans not short of challenges. Following Prohibition, rye whiskey largely disappeared, yet America’s character and resolve did not. We believe that bringing back authentic rye whiskey will be appreciated as much now as it was then. Crafted by Master Blender, Dave Carpenter, Redemption Whiskey is inspired by pre-Prohibition recipes that bring forth truly distinctive ‘rye-forward’ notes. A truly easy drinking whiskey distinguished by its subtle rye-forward flavor, our bourbon has a rye content of 21%, giving it a light but distinct hint of spice. Enjoy it on the rocks or mixed into your favorite bourbon cocktail.
