I want to thank you guys for this episode. Six months or so ago, I tried converting an old laptop to Linux, but failed miserably. I’m not sure why.
After listening to this episode, I decided to give it another try. I downloaded Rufus and an .iso, created the bootable USB drive, and managed to get Linux installed on the laptop this time. It did take me two tries (not sure what I did wrong the first time), but now I’m a happy camper. The Linux install should breathe a little new life into that laptop.
