Welcome to the 340th installment of Linux in the Ham Shack. In this episode, the hosts revisit Hamlib, the rig-, rotor-, amplifier- and tuner-control library that is at the heart of many applications' intregration with your ham radio gear. Our guest tonight is Michael Black, W9MDB, the maintainer and lead developer of the Hamlib project. We explore every aspect of the software from where to get it to how to use it and even some esoteric use cases with remote serial devices and more. Thank you for listening and we hope you have a wonderful week.
Attend a free, virtual online learning event, whether Linux and Open Source related or not.

Slow Cooker Cream Corn
Description
We tend to serve this at Holiday dinners, regretfully it didn't make the cut for Easter dinner 2020... but is still an easy favorite for meals. It is especially good with BBQ!

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon white sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a slow cooker, combine corn, cream cheese, butter, milk, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook on High for 2 to 4 hours, or on Low for 4 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon
Description
To sip our Barrel Proof Bourbon is to experience Bourbon in its purest form: Uncut, straight from the barrel and without chill filtering. Each bottle is hand labeled with its unique proof and batch number but the nose, taste, and finish of every sip is pure Elijah Craig. We’re proud to say that remarkable consistency earned us the award of Whisky Advocate’s Whisky of the Year in 2017. With Barrel Proof, you can enjoy Elijah Craig much the same way our Master Distillers do when they sample straight from the barrel in our Kentucky rickhouses. Each batch is an uncut small run of 12-year-old Bourbon bottled straight from the barrel. The variance in proof from release to release presents a unique opportunity to explore the impact of the angel's share and the resulting proof in a small cluster of barrels. My review is of batch B519, which is the second release from 2019.
