Topics and Notes
- Based on Ubuntu Jammy (22.04)
- Installation looks just like Ubuntu install
- Desktop is LXQt, Desktop manager is sddm (The recommended display manager for LXQt), Xserver is Xorg
- CQRlog (and all other loggers?) not included in base install
- Network managed by netplan shunted to NetworkManager
- Default user already member of groups dialout, sudo, audio, plugdev, direwolf, sambashare
- Default background mildly annoying but better than other ham-related distros
- wsjt-x, fldigi installed by default, wfview was not
- Lots of esoteric software and things I haven't heard of
- TempestSDR
- GNU Radio (many options)
- Notice that many apps launch with a terminal window and sometimes do not actually start
- Gridtracker is installed by default
- xrdp FTW
